The Thermo Mechanical Treatment (TMT) represents the application of both thermal and mechanical pressure on a metal. The mechanical force changes the shape and structure of steel rods under the influence of thermal forces, heat, and cold. The TMT process allows sudden heating and cooling of the steel bars by putting them repeatedly under very high and low temperatures to form a tough martensite external layer while keeping the inner core soft.

Various grades of TMT bars are available in the industry. The most prevalent type is Fe-550. The TMT bars can carry heavy loads and have higher yield and tensile strength. Fe-550 bars are highly malleable and ductile. The minimal residual stresses make these TMT bars highly corrosion-resistant. Other TMT bar grades include Fe-415, Fe-450, Fe-500, and Fe-600. The higher the grade, the more the strength. However, TMT bars with medium grades, like Fe 550, are ideal for residential and commercial project construction, like housing complexes, malls, and others.

HB or Hard Bright wires play a crucial role in fasteners, springs, wire mesh, and other wire manufacturing processes. Maan Shakti HB Wires undergo tempering processes, during which each part features high ductility and strength.

Sponge iron is a crucial ingredient for producing various iron and steel products. Sponge iron has low sulfur and phosphorus and high iron content. Manufacturing TMT bars requires high-quality sponge iron as one of the key ingredients. In the case of producing high heat in induction and furnaces, sponge iron acts in addition to scrap.
